Children are a blessing from the Lord!

Open Door Community Church Children’s Church is a great way for kids ages 4-12 to learn about the goodness of Jesus Christ. We teach sound biblical doctrine and our goal each Sunday and Wednesday is to show the kids the way to eternal salvation through Jesus Christ.

Each Sunday, we kick off Children’s Church with some praise and worship! The kids love to participate in the movements and dance to each song. We also encourage the children to pray! We allow each kid to tell us their prayer requests and one of the kids pray each Sunday! It is such a humbling and sweet time to hear children pray!

We have fun-filled activities that go along with each lesson and we often incorporate crafts! We like to use coloring pages, skits and power point presentations to allow the kids to get the full package of each lesson.

As parents, you can be at ease with allowing your children to participate in our program. Your child is well monitored and very safe on our watch. Our staff is fully prepared to make sure your child feels comfortable and secure and has a great time. We have incredible volunteers that make Children’s Church a blast! We offer two specific age classes; 4-7 and 8-12. Each class is oriented to teach on a level that your child can easily understand and readily apply.

As teachers, we are overwhelmed by the love that is shown to us through Jesus Christ! Our service to the Lord is the utmost importance to our ministry and “our children” are an awesome symbol of God’s love to us! We pray over these kids for salvation, peace, strength, courage and love. Our goal is to win souls for God’s kingdom and at Children’s Church, we plant the seeds.

We believe that it is important for children to grow in the total church experience and to that end we encourage family worship and giving at ODCC. The children participate in both parts of our service with their families and then are dismissed to Children's Church.
